Things to do in Coolangatta

When one hears of the town Coolangatta, the first thing that they will remember is the beach. Coolangatta is a coastal town that offers their beautiful beaches to their visitors. They have pristine shorelines that attract the guests. Whenever you are in the beach, you can stroll or you can enjoy activities such as surfing in areas like in Greenmount and Kirra.

Another thing that you can do within the area is to shop. There are several stores or shops that you can check out that sells souvenirs of the place. There is a Showcase Shopping Centre that is located within the Marine Parade.  Another place that you shouldn’t miss is the Coolangatta Market that sells different types of gifts that you can bring home to your friends that are left behind.

The evenings in Coolangatta are very alive. There is a festival called “Number One Nostalgia Festival in Australia’ that is being held here. The festivity features songs from the 50’s and 60’s and even Rock n’ Roll songs, a celebration that visitors and holiday-goers would definitely enjoy.

Coolangatta Beach
The beaches of Coolangatta have some of the Gold Coast's best surfing conditions and most picturesque scenery. Greenmount Beach (pictured here) and Rainbow Bay are the Gold Coast's only North facing beaches providing sheltered conditions for swimming. A walk around the point to Snapper Rocks improves your chances of seeing the whales on their annual migration throughout the cooler parts of the year.
